Hairballs on the Stairs
Bare feet in summer on warm blades of grass,
Pleasantly tickles my toes.
The warmth of the sand on my feet at the Bay,
Helps soothe away my woes.
Bare feet on thick carpet after a bath,
Helps dry my feet fairly quick.
Getting a pedicure in a salon,
Leaves me the impression, I’m quite the “Chick.”
But of all these sensations that I have described
There is one feeling I can’t compare,
To my bare feet in the morning,
Hitting Hairballs on the stairs.
Kitty Kibble scattered about on the tile,
Produces an annoying crunch.
And Kitty Litter between my toes,
Well for me, that doesn’t do much
Compared to warm toes in the morning,
Squishing down cold hair.
Produced by my long-haired kitties,
Lovingly, leaving Hairballs on the stairs.
