Tonkinese Cat Breed

src:wikipedia. A Tonkinese Cat

The Tonkinese cat bears a strong resemblance to its ancestor the Siamese. The Tonkinese carries the same points of color that the Siamese does, only the color is darker and richer in tone.

The Tonkinese is a muscular cat, big boned and when picked up, you can feel the weight of this graceful cat.

They are curious and intelligent and active, wanting to supervise all your activities around the home. They love to play hide and seek, rearrange your home when you aren’t around and entice you to play fetch with them.  Able to climb and leap great distances, you are sometimes amazed to find them on top grandfather clocks and doorway ledges. They look down at you and trill, and you look up at them and wonder, “Just how did you get up there?”
