Hi there cat-lovers-
 
My name is Mary Anne.I am a 24-hour human can-opener and  Chief Petting Officer. I don’t do drapes, wear black for any reason and the running joke at the local post office is that I send all my letters “Hair Mail.” For the last thirty-plus years, I have shared my life with a very patient and loving husband and a crew of high-risk strays and at-risk bottle babies. Most of my rescues have found loving homes, but I still have quite a clowder here with us sharing our lives. We live on four acres of quiet farmland and I spend my time among my cats just watching them, writing articles and blogging about their lives. It is a unique perspective to say the least.
 
I do not consider myself a “cat expert” nor do I believe I am a “Crazy Cat Woman” though around town, that is how I am sometimes addressed. I am simply someone who is passionate for these sentient beings that are largely ignored and very much misunderstood. This website reflects my love and passion and records my experiences with these wonderful felines.
