I would first try and put some food out for it, but not in the middle of the field- perhaps you can find a large cardboard box to provide a bit of shelter? Be sure and weight the box down, but if you can find bushes to put it near, that is ideal. Put the box near where the kitten appears and put food, and water inside. Put the food on a small saucer, not a bowl and then take a handful of kitten chow and just toss it around the box. Feed the kitten on a regular schedule so he can depend on you being there and get used to you-food. Don't stand near the site, you can go off a distance and kneel down or sit. But standing is threatening to a young kitten. If it approaches, then just ignore it, let it eat- it must be really hungry to be screaming so. :( I don't know if in your area you have caring folk working for the local SPCA that would come out and trap this baby, but he needs to be trapped. There are kitten traps you can borrow from certain folk- I don't know where you are what town or state, but you can google your area as such- for example, I live in Oregon, so I might do this-
in the search bar- Bend Oregon feral cat rescue then hit search. You should find a website with a list of folks in your area that will come out and trap this poor baby.
You want to feed both wet kitten food, dry kitten food, fresh water daily and also if you can manage it- kitten formula. Mom could have abandoned the kitten, or the queen could have died along with the rest of the litter and this little one is at the mercy of predators and unkind humans. Good luck- and I hope and pray you can capture this one before something happens to it.
