Especially preemies. I have been wrong so many times it isn't funny, but then so has my vet. LOL Just get her in and get her spayed because the older they get, the more sexual aggressive they will both become. i had a brother and sister one year, and I took them in at around 5 months old to be clipped and snipped. Later, the vet told me that the little girl was pregnant. They had been bottle babies, inside all the time, so it was clear her brother had gotten to her.

I'm taking care of two kittens both in which I thought were boys. When "Domino" was about a month (maybe month and a half) it was pretty clear he was a boy. As in he had two what appeared to be "testicles." Now that he/she is 3 months old those two clearly round lumps are gone and now is just a patch of furry poof which now looks to me more like a "vagina." Everyone tells me they think she's a female now but it doesn't explain to me why when he/she was younger it did have two round testicle looking lumps. I was wondering if anyone could help me explain as if Domino is a girl I would like to get her spayed since she is an indoor kitty (so far) and only has her brother to play with, I don't want them to imbred. Thank you for your time and help.

If you can tell the vet what happened and let the vet decide the best means of treatment, that would be best. It is possible that he is peeing and pooping- just NOT in the litter pan which is common if say, you accidentally stepped on him, shut the door on him, or did something to traumatize and hurt him. I would look behind furniture and in corners for piles of poop and spots of pee- black lights work really well to find these, you might be surprised.

But if the cat is bound up, constipated etc... you can give the kitty a little bit of canned pumpkin (not the pie mixture that contains spices) but just plain canned pumpkin.

Is the kitty drinking and eating?

About 8am he threw up a small puddle of clear stuff. i don't know what it was. He seems fine though. Is there a difference between giving a cat faucet water as opposed to poland spring. I have a big thing in the fridge of poland spring that I put in his dish I have yet to see him touch it. Should I try faucet water? We bought him a double dish for water and food at petco. I read online thats not always a good idea because cats don't like to smell their food when they drink its water. Thanks for your help again I appreciate it

That's just what they do. If it was in a cage, a bigger house is going to scare it- so you need to put the kitten in a small room and make sure there are dark places where he can hide and feel safe- overturned cardboard boxes draped with a dark towel or a blanket (the box on it;s side leaving an entrance for him to get into is a good start.

Feed the kitten on schedule and stick with the schedule. Stick the food underneath where the kitten is hiding same wih the water- if you can get some pebbles or aquarium rocks and a glass bowl, that helps to show the kitty the depth of the water. Pet fountains are great- there are many of them out there, I swear by the Drinkwells though-

As long as he is using the litter pan and you see stool- then I wouldn't worry so much.

I gave him cat milk from petco through a syringe. I gave the cat what the adoption center recommended. Purina 1 for kittens and friskies canned food. With some water on the side that I have yet to see that cat drink. Right now its purring and it under the couch it was playing earlier though no problem . It went in its litterbox and made stool. I am just worried about it dehydrating itself. In the adoption center he was drinking water though today. I am a little new to this. My concern is both myself and my girlfriend has full time jobs. I go in for 2pm-10:30pm and she goes in for 10am-6:30pm. I want to make sure I am doing everything right for this kitten. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Edited by hawktime2010 - 14 Aug 2010 at 9:34pm

And actually, I've noticed an increased appetite in this kitten as of this morning.

They've been eating Hartz Supplement. They had to drink watered down milk for about 24 hours the day before yesterday since I ran out of formula and had to wait to buy another container. Since I've started feeding them Hartz again, I've also started adding a small amount of Beef Baby Food. Could any of this be leading to an upset stomach or something causing him to wobble?

Should I be worried about him being a Wobbly Kitten? I know the mother cat, but she is an outside cat with lots of male cats around the neighborhood. As far as I know, she's never been vaccinated for anything or dewormed.

These kittens are between 2 and 3 weeks old. The brother seems completely healthy. Active, moving fine, and his normal loud self. Even this kitten was fine, until about an hour ago. I fed them, they took a nap, and when they started waking up again, I noticed she was having troubles walking.
