Making a Cat First-Aid Kit
Although there exists on the market today, a large selection of ready-made first-aid kits for pets, making and stocking your own holds several advantages. It allows you to tailor make the kit to fit your cat. For example, if your cat is diabetic, you can include extra syringes and insulin for emergency situations. Select a large, light-weight waterproof box with handles. Metal first-aid boxes tend to rust and corrode. Underneath the top lid, tape a large Ziplock plastic bag. Inside put your veterinarian’s contact information. Include the nearest 24-hour vet hospital and the poison control numbers. Contents of the first-aid box:
